RPM FEST 2019 BAND INFO

Please have all of your band members read the following information, rules, and guidelines we’ve set for our bands, then complete the Band Confirmation Form linked at the bottom of this page. Please bookmark this page and refer to it often, as it will be updated frequently.

Welcome on board RPM Fest! Each year, we have over 500 bands apply to play RPM Fest and we have the daunting task of narrowing that list down to some number around 50.  If we choose you to play the festival, it's not by happenstance - we're selective in our booking process and we've seen something in you that makes you stand out from the crowd.  We select bands that we hope will share our excitement and dedication to making this event a success and to fostering a heavy music community throughout New England and beyond.

We highly recommend that you stick around for the entire fest weekend, as we have hundreds of people camping out and partying all night.  If you haven’t been to RPM Fest before, it’s truly a unique experience.

 

RULES

  • Bands must complete the Band Confirmation Form linked at the bottom of this page. You will not be announced or listed on any of our promotion materials or the website until you submit this form complete with all of your information and graphics.

  • No other shows within 45 miles and 30 days of RPM Fest location and dates. This is strictly enforced – if you have a more important show to play, we will find a replacement to take your slot. This area includes but is not limited to: Greenfield, Northampton, Springfield, Fitchburg, Worcester, Pittsfield, Brattleboro, and Keene – click here for a map.

PROMOTION

  • Bands are expected to help with promotion through social media and physical flyering. Please view our Street Team page for a list of locations to poster and shows to flyer.

  • Bands will receive a Promo Pack sent to the address you list on the Confirmation Form. The pack will contain posters, flyers, and three tickets – you can sell the tickets and keep the money, or use them for your guest list / merch person / crew.

  • Please keep us informed of any shows, releases, music videos, or other noteworthy events that we can share on our social media pages to generate interest in your appearance at RPM Fest.

  • We will create a promo image using your supplied band photo and logo that you can share to promote your appearance at RPM Fest.

  • Please ensure that the official RPM Fest event is added to your Facebook Page (after you are announced) and that the event is listed on all of your show listings (we recommend that you use Songkick and Bandsintown).

  • Please use these official RPM Fest links and/or tag these pages in your social media posts about the festival:

FEST Schedule

  • Thursday 10 AM: Band/Volunteer/Vendor gates open

  • Thursday 8 PM: Staff/Volunteer/Band Banquet

  • Friday: Band/Volunteer/Vendor gates open 10 AM, Public gates open 4 PM, Music 5 to 11 PM, Single Day Campers Clear by 11 AM Saturday

  • Saturday: Band/Volunteer/Vendor gates open 10 AM, Gates open 12 PM, Music 1 to 11 PM, Single Day Campers Clear by 11 AM Sunday

  • Sunday: Band/Volunteer/Vendor gates open 10 AM, Gates open 12 PM, Music 1 to 9 PM

  • Monday 11 AM: All Campers Clear

  • All sets are 30 min except for two final headliner slots each day

CHECK-IN

  • At least 90 minutes before your set time: Check in at the Main Gate to receive your wristbands, check in at Green Room to get your drink tickets

  • At least 60 minutes before your set time: Unload and pre-set your gear in Gear Tent adjacent to your stage

  • 30 minutes before your set time: Start moving your gear onto your stage

GEAR AND BACKLINE

GEAR TO BRING

  • Drummers: stands, hardware, throne, cymbals, snare, pedals, sticks

  • Bassists and Guitarists: amp, pedals, instrument cables, speaker cables, guitars

  • You are welcome to use your own drum shells and cabs instead of backline gear, but if this causes any delays to the start of your performance, please be aware that your set will end as scheduled regardless of when you actually start playing.

  • Merch: We will have a 20' x 30' band merch tent, but space will be prioritized for bands playing that day. If you want to vend on days other than the one you are playing, bring a table and a 10'x10' pop-up tent and we will give you a space.

  • Drum set (shells only): Yamaha Stage Custom, 22" kick, 10" rack, 12" rack, 16" floor

  • Guitar cab 1: Mesa 4x12 - 8 ohms

CANOPY STAGE BACKLINE

  • Drum set (shells only): Yamaha Stage Custom, 22" kick, 10" rack, 12" rack, 16" floor

  • Guitar cab 1: Marshall 4x12 - 16 ohms

  • Guitar cab 2: Krank 4x12 - 16 ohms

  • Bass cab: Ampeg SVT 8x10 - 4 ohms

PAVILION STAGE BACKLINE

  • Drum set (shells only): Pearl 22" kick, 10" rack, 12" rack, 16" floor

  • Guitar cab 1: Randall 4x12 - 8 ohms

  • Guitar cab 2: Krank 4x12 - 4 ohms

  • Bass cab: Ampeg SVT 8x10 - 4 ohms

CAMPING INFO

  • Band members get a wristband for the whole weekend and are welcome to camp - final site clear is 11 AM Monday

  • Bring your own tents to camp in the woods, or park your van/RV/camper in the field

  • You may bring your own food but support our food vendors when possible

  • No charcoal grills - propane grills are fine

  • No electric or water hookups available

  • We will have outdoor showers available to use

BAND MEMBER PERKS

  • All band members get 2 drink tickets good for beer from our local brewery sponsors
